Simple, stress-free bookkeeping for law firms.

LEARN MORE

A law firm bookkeeper is the backbone of a successful legal practice. Beyond balancing the books, they ensure that every financial transaction aligns with strict compliance rules, ethical obligations, and client trust requirements unique to the legal industry. In short — accurate bookkeeping is not just about financial clarity; it’s about protecting your firm’s integrity and reputation.

Why It’s Imperative to Your Firm’s Success

  1. Trust Account Compliance
Law firms must adhere to rigorous trust accounting standards set by state bar associations. A skilled bookkeeper ensures every client fund is properly tracked, reconciled, and reported — preventing costly compliance violations or disciplinary actions.

  2. Financial Accuracy and Transparency
Reliable bookkeeping provides firm owners and partners with a clear financial picture. From tracking client costs and settlements to reconciling accounts and payroll, accurate records help you make informed decisions and maintain client confidence.

  3. Profitability and Cash Flow Management
A law-firm-focused bookkeeper helps identify trends, manage cash flow, and highlight areas of opportunity or inefficiency. This insight supports better forecasting, smarter budgeting, and stronger profitability — all critical to a thriving practice.

  4. Time and Focus for Legal Work
Attorneys should be practicing law, not worrying about ledgers, reports, or tax filings. By managing the financial operations, your bookkeeper frees up your time so you can focus on your clients and cases.

  5. Audit-Ready and Tax-Prepared
With accurate monthly reconciliations and clean financial reports, your firm is always audit-ready and fully prepared for tax season. This reduces stress, saves time, and prevents unexpected financial surprises.

Hello and Welcome!

I’m Heather, founder of a full-service bookkeeping business serving law firms and small businesses throughout Washington State.
With over 20 years of professional experience, I bring a deep understanding of both the legal world and the unique financial needs of growing businesses.

I’m lucky to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, tucked away in Glacier, Washington, at the base of Mount Baker. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me out in the mountains, near the rivers, or enjoying the calm of nature — it’s where I find balance and inspiration.

My Journey

My bookkeeping path began many moons ago while working alongside my father in the personal injury law field. That experience gave me firsthand insight into how law firms operate — from client trust accounts and expense tracking to managing office operations, human resources and compliance.

In 2014, I launched my own bookkeeping business to support firms and entrepreneurs who want to stay financially organized, compliant, and confident. Since then, I’ve been honored to work with an incredible variety of law firms and small business owners, helping them streamline their systems, manage growth, and gain clarity around their finances.

Who I Serve

While I’ve worked with many different industries, I have a special place in my heart for law firms. My legal background allows me to bridge the gap between compliance and practical day-to-day bookkeeping — ensuring trust accounts are reconciled, client costs are tracked accurately, and partners have clear financial reports they can rely on.

I currently work with clients across King County, Whatcom County, and beyond, providing tailored bookkeeping and advisory services designed to help businesses grow with ease and confidence.

More Than Numbers

To me, bookkeeping isn’t just about transactions — it’s about supporting entrepreneurs in their vision.
Whether it’s setting up your entity, hiring your first employee, implementing payroll, integrating software, or celebrating new milestones, I love being a partner in your success.

I’m passionate about helping you feel grounded, informed, and empowered in your business finances — so you can focus on what you do best.
